heart disease
gemini_amore asked:

I’m doing a paper on cardiovascular diseases, and I’m not sure I understand the difference between coronary heart disease & ischemic heart disease. Aren’t they both caused by a lack of blood/oxygen to the heart?? Please explain!!!

Coronary heart disease describes the CHANGES in the coronary artery walls. The changes are usually due to thickening (atherosclerosis) of the arterial walls due to deposits of cholesterol.

Ischemic heart disease specificially means decreased blood flow to the heart. It is usually the final stage of coronary heart disease.

They are sometimes used interchangably, but ischemic heart disease SPECIFICALLY connotes reduced blood supply terminating in unstable angina (chest pain) or myocardial infarction(heart attack)

      Hope this helps.

For hearts contraction relaxations congestive cardiac muscle complete blockade induces attack cause of current through it occurs due to cardiac failure in case of ischaemic heart failure in case of only the coronary heart failure in case.
The coronary arteries causing less oxygen to passive venous congesion etc but cause of ischaemic heart disease which is stroke or attack in case of death shall always be induced.
